SCH: A Speed Measurement Method of Combined Hyperbolic Frequency Modulation Signals

Hyperbolic Frequency Modulation (HFM) signal has certain tolerance to Doppler shift. However, during ranging, the unidirectional modulated HFM cannot eliminate delay at output of matched filtering, and thus there is a ranging error. After combined positive negative echo signals are filtered, Doppler-induced closely related proportional frequency, bandwidth pulse width transmitted signals. By using signals, error in single can be eliminated. In this paper, Speed measurement method Combined (SCH) proposed, which employs frequency modulation for speed ranging. Moreover, SCH relaxes requirements width, makes it more suitable general conditions. Extensive simulation results show that proposed approach better estimate distance moving targets, reference value engineering application.
